What does it feel like?
The treatment is not painful and can be quite relaxing. You may feel the urge to go to the bathroom and experience a little cramping occasionally.
Is it embarrassing?
The treatment room is private, and I completely understand the sensitive nature of the treatment. Your modesty will be always protected and once the speculum (tube) is inserted, you will remain covered throughout.
Is there any mess or smell?
I work with a closed system so there is absolutely no mess or smell.
What should I expect afterwards?
There may be an increase in bowel movements over the first few hours following the colonic to eliminate any remaining waste. Following this, you may not have a bowel movement for a few days.
Does a colonic remove all the good bacteria?
Most bacteria live in the bowels wall and are not removed during the colonic. A colonic can improve the environment and encourage more of the good bacteria to breed. A probiotic implant can also be provided afterwards if requested/required.
How many treatments?
We will discuss a treatment plan following your first treatment. It is generally advised to have a colonic between 2 and 4 times a year for maintenance seasonally. Some conditions may require more frequent treatments
Will I experience any after effects?
Most people feel great after a Colonic, with renewed energy and vitality. However, occasionally some clients may feel a little under-the-weather for around 24 hours. If you have any concerns, or you feel unwell, please do feel able to contact me.
What if I am pregnant?
Unfortunately, pregnant ladies cannot be treated.
What if I want treatment during a period?
You are able to have the treatment. There is no reason why you would not be able to have a colonic.
