ARCH Colonic Hydrotherapist
I decided to become a Colonic Hydrotherapist having seen the huge beneficial effects
that this treatment can provide on a personal level. A close family member had been
suffering from Faecal Impaction and after many months of visiting the GP to no
avail, was treated successfully after one Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment and never suffered
again. I suffer from IBS and have found that regular colonics help immensely. I have always
loved helping people and so I made the decision to study hard and pursue this career so that
other people can receive the help they need. I was privileged to train with the most amazing
and talented Roger Groos, one of the co-founders of ARCH and a truly wonderful man!
I live in the small village of Rhode, in between Bridgwater and north Petherton and I am
easily accessible from the M5. I aim to provide a calm and holistic experience using soothing
music and essential oils, as well as providing a therapeutic environment. I also operate with
strict hygiene protocol, and all equipment is of course sterile.
I understand that you may be anxious or nervous so please be reassured that I will aim to
put you at ease. Please do ask any questions prior to your treatment should you have
any. I request that you please complete the questionnaire prior to your visit; I realise that
this is extensive, but it will really help me to build a picture of you and your health.
I hope to provide an inclusive service and will make any reasonable adaptations, so please
confirm any special requirements beforehand.
Why Choose an ARCH Therapist?
ARCH (The Association of Registered Colonic Hydrotherapists is the UK’s longest established and leading Association for Colon Hydrotherapists. When choosing an ARCH-registered therapist you are assured of the highest standards of safety and competence.
ARCH has been setting standards in the practice and the training of Colon Hydrotherapy for over 35 years. Members go through rigorous checks including a DBS before they are added to our register. They must
demonstrate suitable and recognised training and have extensive experience in a clinical setting from a medical or complementary practice. Furthermore, ARCH is the only Colonic Association recognised and regulated by the independent Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the only government- backed regulator in the industry.
ARCH is run by members, for members, creating a dynamic community of support, education, promotion and interaction that drives our industry forward. ARCH therapists are kept up-to-date with the latest scientific and technical information and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a prerequisite for membership renewal.
Maintaining the highest standards for Colon Hydrotherapy
All ARCH members abide by our comprehensive code-of-practice which covers every aspect of the treatment, from the equipment used to the facilities available in the treatment room. Our members agree to maintain the highest standards of competency and care to ensure your safety, protect your dignity and provide a quality treatment experience.
ARCH conducts regular inspections to ensure that our members uphold the standards laid down in the code-of-practice.
Registered with ARCH and GNC
Some private health care plans will cover treatment by ARCH members who are registered with the CNHC –
This is something you can discuss with your ARCH therapist and health insurance provider.
